NRG Energy

Alter NRG entered into a technology license agreement with NRG Energy, Inc. – one of the largest independent power producers in the United States – on April 3, 2007. Under the terms of the License Agreement, Alter NRG granted NRG a five-year exclusive license to use the Westinghouse Plasma Corporation proprietary gasification technology in the United States, primarily to produce electric power using waste and other feedstocks.

NRG Energy is one of America's largest independent power producers and a Fortune 500 company. NRG Energy has over 10 plasma gasification projects in active development including several projects in advanced stages of regulatory approvals and engineering.
