Alter NRG supports customers in three distinct phases which have been designed to support and complement other development activities.

 

Phase 1 – Pre-Front End Engineering and Design

During phase 1, Alter NRG will deliver to developers the preliminary design and capital cost of the APGS portion of the overall project. The necessary level of detail will be completed to allow developers to assess, in conjunction with other engineering and economic information, the viability of the project and to obtain additional development funding, if necessary. Specific deliverables will include:

  • Preliminary Capital Cost Estimate
  • Site Layout Drawing
  • Process Flow Diagram, and
  • Preliminary Heat and Mass Balance

 Alter NRG has the expertise to provide developers with the preliminary engineering design and project economics for an entire facility.

 

Phase 2 – Front End Engineering and Design (FEED)

In Phase 2, Alter NRG will work with developers and their EPC firm to produce the Front End Engineering and Design. In Phase 2, Alter NRG will deliver the following:

  • Assembly Level Drawings for the plasma gasification system
  • Process and Instrumentation Diagrams
  • Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Estimates for the plasma gasification system

At the end of Phase 2, Alter NRG will provide developers with a firm price quote and delivery schedule for the plasma gasification system.

Other services that Alter NRG can provide in Phase 2 include:

  • Feedstock testing at our Madison, Pennsylvania pilot plant
  • Financing support
  • Balance of plant design 

 

Phase 3 – Detailed Engineering and Alter NRG Plasma Gasification System Fabrication

In Phase 3, Alter NRG will perform detailed engineering and then fabricate the APGS. Alter NRG will work with the developer’s EPC firm during installation and commissioning and will provide training to the operator of the facility.

Alter NRG will provide ongoing parts and service support over the life of the plasma gasification system.
